Created in the 1970's, this piece was meant to be entertaining, with the inscription 'not to be taken away' as a reference to the notices placed around museum exhibits of ancient pottery. Decoration mainly achieved by embedding iron filings into the clay, creating the dark brown.

The second attempt at fresco, see 0251. It is unknown as to what inspired this mysterious character, although there are some similarities in intrigue to 'Coloured Glass Bird' (Cat. no....
