In Welsh mythology she is the daughter of Don, mother of Lleu to whom she gives neither name, arms nor a wife. She is also linked to the moon and that is how she is shown here. The owl is the final form taken by Blodeuwedd, the Bride made from Flowers for Lleu. (Ref. Robert Graves "The White Goddess"). Painted wood collage with 3-dimensionality and depth enhanced by geometry in the background. Constructed in layers of mixed media this is a unique piece that is part sculpture, part painting.
