Marker pens on coloured paper - the artist experimented with most media - he didn't like the lack of subtlety of felt pens, and preferred to use materials he could blend for a greater tonal range. However, he achieved graduation in this work by his method of mark-making to add form and texture as well as indicating light and shade.
