Undertaken in the '70s, using hessian as a canvas, he depicts Adam as being a victim, co-erced into compliance according to belief perpetuated by religious tradition in which the artist was raised. In spite of renouncing these beliefs, the insidious culture of blame regarding the fall from grace persists, and is evident is a few of the works. Perpetual exclusion from the Garden of Eden means we are forever deprived, and one act of curiosity damned an entire species into being untrustworthy - a shame that can be said to be far worse than being naked - though our exile is not so fierce as the punishment laid upon the snake. A permanent disappointment to a vengeful God, and a condition from which none can ever escape. [Even though all women in Western traditions have been cursed by this blame, the pursuit and acquisition of knowledge is claimed by man in the ultimate hypocrisy.]
