Although quite reclusive in the last few decades of his life, on occasions PBB would travel and invariably be inspired enough to take photographs, and create final oil(/acrylic) paintings in the months following his journeys. This particular journey to North Wales was motivated by a reunion with an old friend from the Air Force and resulted in this painting and its pair 'Trevor Rock' (no.0046). Notice the artist has included 'an artist' painting the scene in the foreground.
