PBB felt it was important to do a "last great painting" as an epic, so constructed these complex works - you can trace the tale of Peer Gynt through the images - reading left to right, top to bottom like a page of text. Inspired by the tale by Ibsen and music of Greig. Use of acrylic, watercolour and ink on wood.
