Painted on the back of 'Daffodils', (Cat. No. 0155), the artist was never very happy with this image, although it appears to be quite iconic. Self-portraits didn't really interest him, although he did undertake a few, and he would set a stylised version of himself in some works - either as a participant to the scene or a painter in the setting.
